3 ways we open the door for the enemy into our lives

Scripture Focus: 1 Peter 5:8
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

There are three things I want to point out today which must be taken very seriously because they are ways by which we open the door for the enemy into our lives. The first is our thought life, if the devil is in control of your thought, he can manipulate your life. He does this often by projecting images or pictures of fear, pain and sorrow, the moment you concentrate on those thoughts, it begins to manifest in your life. The second thing I'll talk about are your words. What you say has the capacity to justify your life.

The bible declares in James 3:6 - "And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquities so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell." Many persons have closed their heavens by their own tongue, yet they still spend time praying for open heavens. Keep a watch on what you say in whatever season you find yourself. Finally, another way we open the door for the enemy is through what we do.

One step or action of your life can either bring you into poverty or prosperity. Most times people do things out of pressure from people or emotions, not understanding the weight or spiritual implication of what they are doing. That is why you must be very careful of your friends, association and peers, because these set of people have a strong influence in our lives.

There are times you may not even be led to do a particular thing, but because your friend is involved, you are compelled to take the same step. Satan will always take note of people you are loyal to or people you love, so that if He is not able to get you directly, he can move through them. Remember Adam & Eve!
