How to experience comfort from God's word

April 7th, 2020

Scripture Focus :

John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Personally, I have experienced times in my life where there was absolutely nothing working but in the midst of it  i seem to experience this overwhelming comfort each time I study God's word. This comfort projects me into hope, peace, faith and deep love for God. God's comfort comes with a purpose and I noticed if one is not submissive enough in spirit, he would fall into the temptation of ignoring it in the name of trying to face the reality of the issues of life.

God knows how much pain you are going through from your needs and daily trials of your life. He has been there, seen it and tasted what it feels like. Hebrews 4:15 declares - "For we do not have a high priest not being able to sympathize with our weaknesses...."  Since He knows what it feels like, He will comfort you through His word. His comfort will keep you encouraged and help you never to loose hope and courage till you arrive at His promises.

In Ephesians 6:17 the Bible declares that the word is the sword of the Spirit. When you give yourself to the word, the Holy Spirit will manifest the ministry of comfort in your life & cut down hopelessness. You will discover that  your happiness keeps growing in the midst of the trouble. You need the comfort of the Spirit so you won't loose sight of the glory ahead of you. Let the word of Christ find place in you and it will bring you to the realm of all comforts. Hallelujah!!!

TODAY'S PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly father, thank you for your Holy Spirit of Comfort. Keep me comforted till I arrive at your promises for my life, in Jesus name, Amen!
