Forgetful hearers of the word

Scripture Focus :

James 1:25

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

One of the reasons God's word doesn't produce the needed result in the life of many persons is because they hear the word and don't bring to memory what they heard. The scripture calls them forgetful hearers. It's same for people who read the word, and it doesn't sink into their spirit but remain in the Brain for recitation purpose. You need to know that God's word is the food of your spirit. 

As you read the word or hear the word, it passes through your mind & gets into your spirit. You are to let it get into your spirit and not just stay in your head. When this happens, the word remains stored up in your spirit. And from time to time, you begin to revisit it in order to saturate & build up your soul and body with it. There are times the Holy Spirit uses what is stored up in our spirit to help us in certain situations of life & to strengthen or spirit with might.

Be intentional about reminding yourself of the word of God and this will cause you to do the word, according to our focus scripture. Forgetful hearers of the word don't experience the profit of the word even if they listen to it over and over; as long as they don't give their heart to what they hear, it will do them no good. This is a great spiritual key I am revealing to you today, after you are done reading the word, be intentionally involve in reminding yourself of what you read & meditate on it. Hallelujah!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of your word, I make up mind mind to allow your word sink into my spirit becauee your word is the food of my spirit. Thank you Lord in Jesus name!
