The Nature of God's Spirit in you

 Scripture Focus :

2 Tim 1:7  

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].  

(Amplified Bible)

The focus scripture before us, gives the nature or attributes of the kind of spirit God has given to us. It says this spirit doesn't manifest fear or timidity. It is a spirit that is made of power & love. Yesterday we learnt that we are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, therefore if you are in the Spirit, He will rule your life with this attributes & cause you to walk in them.

There are people who are unable to take control of their minds and attain personal discipline, but when they recieve the Holy Spirit, He gives them the ability to make their minds subject to the word of God. As a child of God, you should never be deficient of love because the spirit God has given you is able to make love abound in you. Are you lacking power in your life? The Spirit of God brings you to the reality of God's power at work in you. 

You can deal with fear becuase you have the Holy Spirit in you who destroys fear. His presence in your life can embolden you and cause you to take over your world. In order to manifest these attributes of the Spirit in us, we need to learn to walk in the Spirit, according to Galatians 5:25. Walking in the Spirit is giving ourselves to the Spirit in study of the word praying in the Spirit and yielding ourselves to His directives. When you do this, His ability will flow through you ceaselessly. Glory to God!

Dear Heavenly  Father, thank you for your word, thank you for giving me your Spirit. I have a sound mind, I walk in love and in power. Fear has no dominion over me in Jesus name!
