Understanding the Character of the Word

Scripture Focus :

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

When it comes to experiencing the transforming power of God's word, you will need to have an understanding of the word. The greater your depth into the word, your eyes are opened into its realities. In Hebrews the scripture tells us that by faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the  word of God. This shows that the word carries a creative ability. Likewise, there is a level of understanding of the word that will bring you into more of what the word can do not just the creative aspect of it. 

You were born of the word and you cannot but live by the word. Therefore every time you grow into higher realms of understanding the word, you make new heights and gain new grounds. Our focus scripture gave us a fundamental character of the word which helps us to know that through the word we can experience life because it says the word is alive and active. 

And it went ahead to tell us that the word is carries the nature of a two edged sword. When you study the word, and allow it to get into your soul and spirit, the Spirit of God uses it to cut down everything that isn't part of your life & destiny. On the other hand because the word is living and active, it releases life into your entire system through the Spirit. Your spirit, soul & body begins to experience vitality and fruitfulness. Hallelujah!!!

Dear Heavenly, thank you for the gift of your word, by the help of your Spirit, I receive a greater dimension of understanding into the word in the name of Jesus Christ.
