Walking in the power of love

Scripture Focus :

1 John 2:9-10

Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble.

The Spirit given to us by God is a Spirit of love; the God kind of love. Every of God's child born of God through Christ is given the ability by the Spirit to love. I call it divine enablement. This is not the love that the world expresses, it's a love that has passed from death to life. The scipture says, greater love has no man than this that a man laid down His life for His Friends. 

Until you have passed from death to life, you cannot truly lay down your life for another man. We receive divine enablement to truly love when we have passed from death to life. The only way to pass from death from life is to embrace the finished work of Christ on the cross. 

The Spirit of love is a Spirit that gives more than it takes because blessed is the hand than gives than the hand that takes, It is the ultimate expression of love. Giving isn't just about giving our substance or resources, we have to come to the point where we give our lives; that means we could surrender to our brother the things that cost us our heart. The Lord help us in Jesus name!

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly  Father, thank you for your Love, thank you for giving me the enablement to love genuinely. I receive Grace to continue in the power of love in Jesus name!
