How to receive God's Forgiveness & be changed by it.
Scripture Focus :
Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
The word "forgive" is the Greek word is "aphiemi". It means to set free; to let go; to release; to discharge; or to liberate completely. When God forgives you, He liberates or discharges you completely from every offense or sin committed. We are looking at this subject today because a lot of persons do not know how to receive the forgiveness of God avaliable to them. They are still been hunted by their offenses.
It is one thing to be forgiven by God and another thing to receive His forgivenes & remain in His peace. The first key to receiving God's forgiveness is to understand that God is great in mercy and there is no limit to His compassion. This simply means that there will never be a time where a man's offense will become too great for God to forgive, but there is going to be a time when the Grace to forgive will become expired and that's the time of judgment.
If your sins cannot exhaust or supersede the mercies of God, then you are at such at an advantage that can change your life. The next step is to believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that you are forgiven. When you allow this thought occupy your mind, it will dominate your life. You begin to find the peace of God overtaking your life and joy like a river running through your soul. Put these steps to practice and you shall experience the forgiveness power of God that is able to change your life.
