Finding rest when you are troubled in heart

Scripture Focus :

Psalm 46:1 

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Trouble represents distress or unrest. Trouble in heart is a result of trouble on the outside. There are going to be times when we will experience trouble in heart especially in the times that we are in. The word of God has a solution to help us out of every troubled state of the heart. No matter what may be troubling your heart, the first key to putting out this trouble is seen in our focus scripture. It says that God is our refuge, meaning a place of safety, our strength and present help. 

Present help means that He will always be able to deal with whatever the trouble is that we are faced with. He won't be a past help which could mean an outdated help or that is no match for the current situation on ground. When you have this understanding, the next key is in John 14:1 which says Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 

If you know God to be your refuge, strength and present help, then believe in Him. Believe in His ability to save you and deliver you from whatever trouble that comes your way. When the trouble comes, picture God in your heart as your place of safety and believe in Him that He will never allow anything evil to come near you. When this is done, your heart will find the rest that you seek. Glory to Jesus Christ!

Dear Father in Heevan, thank your peace. Thank you for being my present help in times of troubles. I will keep my heart stayed on you no matter what i face in the name of Jesus Christ.

I pray for you today, that the Spirit of Grace will engulf whatever you do in the name of Jesus Christ.
