Be determined from the heart

Scripture Focus :

Daniel 1: 8

But Daniel determined in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king’s royal food, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

When God spoke to Joshua about His new position to lead Israel, one of the things He told him was to be strong and courageous.The question is--- Why would an all powerful God demand courage from a man? Couldn't things be done all by Himself? This is to reveal to you that there are certain characters that God expects from you to help His will and purpose manifested in your life. He wants you to initiate it and He will take it up from where you started. 

Again, we see in our focus scripture how Daniel made up His mind not to defile Himself. Some translations calls it purposed in His heart. In other words, He decided within himself never to be defiled with the King's meat. I'm showing this to let you know that you can be determined for God. God loves men & women who are determined and purposed to do His will. It wasn't convenient for Daniel to reject the delicious meal but He had to do it to stay purified. And guess What? God was watching and took note of Him. 

We are in an era where too many persons lack sincere stand in what they believe in. They are so double minded that they can fall into anything for the fear of death. Currently, Christians are joining them because they lack true tenacity in heart to stand for God. You don't want to be part of that gang! Learn to build a faith that determines & persevere. You have to determine in your heart  to give to God no matter what the economy is saying, pray irrespective of what your head is saying, worship God no matter who is not worshipping. When you stay determine for God, He will single you out like Daniel for His Glory. Hallelujah!!!

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your Grace, no matter what is happening around me, I receive the Grace to be determined in heart for you in Jesus name!
