The cost of Faith

Scripture Focus :

Luke 9: 23

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Apostle James said in his epistle that Faith without work is dead. I consider this  work as the cost of Faith. For every moment we say Jesus is Lord of our lives, the next question would be, are you ready to face what it takes for this word to be a reality in your life? No wonder Jesus gave the price that must be paid for anyone who claim to have faith in Him and is willing to go with Him all the way. 

There are many willing to follow the Lord all the way but their flesh is weak to go through self denial and the cross has begin an impossible weight to carry. However, in all this, it is the Holy Spirit that bears the fruit of Faith in us that helps us to deny ourselves and carry the cross. If your faith must manifest the work which will produce a living faith, then it must be birthed by the help of the Spirit. This becomes a reality as we give ourselves wholly to the leadership of the Holy Ghost. 

The reward of Faith is greater than the cost of Faith. Everything our Lord went through was nothing compared to the glory that was revealed to Him. The suffering is temporary but the glory carries a greater weight that supersedes the suffering. Don't keep your eyes on the cost but on the crown of Glory that awaits you. This new week, the Lord will cause you to tread on the paths of Glory in Jesus name!

TODAY'S PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your Grace, I ask that you help me deny myself and carry my cross and follow you in Jesus name!

PROPHETIC RELEASE:

You need to associate with people who inspire you, people that challenge you to raise higher, people that make you better. Don't waste your valuable time with people that are not adding to your growth. Your destiny is too important.
