Divine mercy Encounter

 Scripture Focus :

Mark 10:47

When he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was there, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

God cannot ignore the the voice that cries for mercy because the cry for  mercy is a cry asking God to look away from the sins of the afflicted and look at the affliction.  God created man and in all His creation He never created affliction. There is no where in the bible where God created afflicted and said to man, you will go through this for a while. All He created for man was the blessing and rest. He created man in His own image, and therefore He dreads to see man in a miserable state.

God can bring you out of any situation by His mercies. No matter how terrible that situation looks like, seek the mercy of God. When you seek His mercies, you are saying Lord don't allow me to continue in this affliction. In our focus scripture, Bartimaeus understood that Jesus was a compassionate Messiah. So be began by seeking for mercy. He was saying Lord I may be guilty for the reason I'm blind, but don't look at the cause, look at my pain and help me out of it.

This reminds me of Hebrews 2 : 17 which tells us that Our Lord Jesus became like us or was made flesh so that He might experience our pain and become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God. In Hebrews 4 : 15  it says  For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities....in order words, He has an experience of what we are going through and this will give Him more reason to release His compassion on us. God knows your pain and will respond to your case when you seek Him by mercy! Hallelujah!!!
